Georgetown 5 Under Forty recognizes five individuals under the age of 40 whose professional excellence, leadership, and commitment to service are shaping Georgetown’s future.
Nominations are submitted by members of the community and reviewed through a structured selection process designed to ensure fairness, integrity, and broad representation.
Eligibility Overview
Nominees must meet the following criteria:

Be under the age of 40 at the time of selection

Live, work, or serve in the Georgetown area
-
Demonstrate professional achievement, leadership, and community impact

Be supported by required letters of recommendation as part of the nomination materials

Self-nominations are welcome
How the Process Works

Nominations are collected during the open nomination period (Jan 15 - Mar 27, 2026).

Completed nominations and supporting materials are reviewed by a committee of community leaders.

Nominees are evaluated based on leadership, professional achievement, and community impact.

Final honorees are selected through the program’s governing review process.
Required Nomination Material
To complete a nomination, you will be asked to provide:

Basic information about the nominee

A brief description of the nominee’s professional achievement, leadership and community impact

Letters of recommendation supporting the nomination
Additional details will be requested within the nomination form.
Important Attendance Requirement
Selected honorees are expected to attend the awards presentation.
Inability to attend the event may result in disqualification.
